This Bench Solution model is actually a very simple solution to the problem of space. They designed a worktop that folds down when not in use. One common worry with these kinds of construction is that the supporting braces may not be sturdy enough for tough work. However, the QW00 workbench uses robust and heavy-duty supports that can sustain loads of up to 400 pounds to prop the worktop. This is more than sufficient for most home projects.
The worktop is made of solid hardwood, measuring 60″ W x 24″ D x 1.75″ H. It is sealed with a clear coating to protect it from scratches and moisture. At the same time, this coating also enhances the natural beauty and grains of the wood.
Mounted on the wall, just above the workbench is an IdealWall Solution. This is a wall panel system that has closely-spaced grooves into which pegboard hooks and L-shaped brackets can be inserted. These are then used to hang your tools and equipment. You can even install small shelves on the IdealWall for those items that cannot be hooked, such as small cans of paint or boxes of small hardware items. Most tools, however, can be easily suspended from hooks or brackets.
The workbench comes with three panels with a height of 12 inches each. Their width is 96″ but they can be cut to align with the worktop. These can be either in white or gray and they come with matching end trims.
