Featuring the exclusive Griplatch drawer system, the five drawers of the Craftsman 41-Inch Griplatch Tool Chest are securely latched in place eliminating the possibility of unintended opening. In spite of this, it is easy to open the drawers, as all you need to do is lift any section of the full-width drawer handles slightly and pull them out.
In addition to the top till covered by the chest lid, there are five spacious drawers of varying sizes where you can store your valuable tools and equipment. The tool chest is equipped with an internal locking system securing stored items. Two reversible keys which are over-molded come with it.
The chest lid is angled, softening its corners, and is fitted with a full-width stiffener to keep it from bending down when subjected to loads or pressures. Gas struts installed on both ends of the lid make opening effortless and at the same time prevent it from accidentally slamming shut. The stiffener doubles as a storage slot of the tool chest manual. The Craftsman logo is embossed on it which actually makes it look more attractive.
All five drawers run the full width of the chest, measuring 36.75 inches wide and 16.5 deep. The top three, however, are 2 inches tall, while the fourth is 3.13 and the bottom is 4.13. They are equipped with drawer liners for better tool organization. Also installed are full-extension ball bearing slides which make drawer operation easy even when loaded to their carrying capacity of 70 lbs each.
The Craftsman 41-Inch Griplatch Tool Chest is constructed from heavy-duty steel with a baked enamel coating preventing rust or corrosion. There is also a stainless steel version, but if you prefer an enamel-finished, you can choose from a black, red, midnight blue, traffic yellow, platinum shell with black drawers, or red shell with black drawers tool chest. Carrying handles are mounted on the sides for portability.
Overall, the chest measures 41″ W x 18″ D x 20″ H.
