The Edsal Storage Rack Starter Unit is an open shelving storage system with three shelves. The unit measures 6 feet tall, 2 feet deep, and also 6 feet wide.
The frame of the Storage Rack Starter Unit is made of gauge 16 steel that has been chemically treated to enhance its rust-resistance. The stands of the rack are supported not only by the steel rails on which the shelves rest, but are also reinforced by diagonal and horizontal bars. It is coated in a shiny gray paint.
The shelves or decks are made of particleboards of sawdust and wood fragments bonded by strong resin binders. These are adjustable in three-inch increments by simply inserting the rails into pre-punched holes on the stands. Each of these shelves has a carrying capacity of up to 1,500 pounds.
This heavy-duty storage rack is easily assembled without need of tools. This can be done in a few minutes, after which you can start loading up your stuff onto the shelves. It is also easily expandable in the event that your collection of tools and equipment continue to increase. You can purchase additional rail posts and shelves and use the stands of the existing rack as common posts.
