Small and even medium-sized garages often involve the problem of where to put a workbench where you can work when installing a car alarm system or cutting wood planks for your child’s tree house. You would not want to do these things on your study desk or kitchen work table. But if the space in your garage is limited, you will need a FoldAWay Workbench.
The FoldAWay Workbench is not just a table top that can be folded down resting against the wall. Instead, it doubles as a wall-mounted storage cabinet when not in use as a workbench.
The cabinet measures 52 inches wide, 25 inches high, and 21 inches deep. The bottom of the front panel is fixed to the front of the base. Together, these swivel on hinges connecting them to the bottom of the rear panel. Thus, when fully opened, the inside of the front panel becomes the workbench top. This is a 2 x 4 feet surface giving you enough space for your work.
For heavy work, you can use the detachable legs. With these you can clamp an electric grinder or vise on the table. You do not even need to remove them when you are through working. For lighter work, they are not necessary.
The inside of the cabinet is lined with pegboards. With these you can install hooks where you can hang your tools. For those that cannot be hanged, you can also mount shelves. There are four gas shocks hidden behind the pegboards with a force of almost 800 pounds that help in closing the cabinet.
The FoldAWay Workbench is made of gauge 18 steel. It is power coated to keep it looking clean and shiny and, perhaps more importantly, to resist rust and corrosion.
