This extra large cabinet features two swing doors made of diamond or checker plates that are finished with silver. The cabinet casing is of a hammered granite finish. Both these finishes are applied to the bare metal through a process called powdercoating. This is a procedure that harnesses static electricity to effectively bond and gel the protective coating with the gauge 21 steel of the Gladiator Extra Large GearBox. The end result is a highly corrosion-resistant garage cabinet.
The Gladiator Extra Large GearBox is six feet tall, four feet wide, and one and a half feet deep. With this size, it can take in plenty of your automotive and carpentry manual and power tools, bottles and cans of paint, engine and gear oil, car wax, aerosol sprays, or brake and power steering fluids. There are three full-width shelves inside the cabinet, one of which is fixed while the other two are adjustable. Each shelf has a weight capacity of approximately 50 pounds.
The heavy-duty 5/16-inch steel panels of the GearBox are bolted together with Allen head screws that are guaranteed to hold the panels even after years of use. A heavy-duty latch that is operated with a rounded pin locks the doors keeping your things inside secure. Recessed handles serve as the door opener.
You have two mounting options for the Gladiator Extra Large GearBox. You can have it standing on your floor or hanging from a wall. If you opt for the former, you can use the leveler legs that are standard equipment for the GearBox to correct any listing or tilting. Hanging it from a wall to free floor space can be done through the use of Gladiator’s Wall Bracket Kit. This bracket guarantees a secure attachment to any sturdy wall in your garage.
