Kennedy Wall-Mounted Cabinet Model 50260

Kennedy Wall-Mounted Cabinet Model 50260

While most storage cabinets have a number of horizontal shelves where stored items are stacked, the Kennedy Wall-Mounted Cabinet replaces them with vertical pegboards. These are installed at the back of the double doors, the rear panel, with two that are hinged on the side panels at a point between the doors and the back. These two swing out to provide access to the pegboard at the rear.

The pegboards have square holes which accept Kennedy Toolholder Sets and Peg Hooks. Sixty pieces come with the cabinet but you can always purchase additional hooks should the need arise. When properly and securely attached to the holes, these can carry heavy tools.

You can use the rear panels for your bulkier and heavier power tools, large C-clamps, and big pipe wrenches. Screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, and wood and hacksaws can be hung on the doors’ pegboards. Flat tools like spanners and vise grips will fit in the hinged pegboards.

An obvious advantage of this type of storage, referred to as the Kennedy Toolboard Storage System or TBS, is its flexibility. You can arrange your tools according to your preferences, or perhaps according to the frequency of their usage. The less used tools can be kept in the back pegboard. You can always rearrange the hooks to accommodate the tools’ sizes.

For the security of your tools, the Kennedy Wall-Mounted Cabinet incorporates a three-point locking system that bolts the top and bottom of one door along with the other door.

The cabinet is finished with a baked-on paint that is scratch-resistant. It measures approximately 45 inches wide, 12 deep, and 39 high. The model 50260 is colored utility tan. There are, however, other colors but they are given different model numbers –51260 for utility gray, 52260 for utility blue, and 54260 for classic blue.
