Although delivered in a flat box indicating that the KR Tools 326034 Tactix Wall Cabinet requires assembly, you need not worry about putting it all together. It has a patented assembly system allowing you to put it up in less than a minute.
What you see when you open the box are the top and bottom panels spread out flat. In between them are the right and left sides folded down towards the back panel. Each side is hinged to a door on one end while its other end is attached to the back panel. Lifting the side panels reveals the two doors. Folding the top and bottom panels towards them and locking them together results in a rigid and robust cabinet that can take on a lot of weight. No need for tools on this one. Just flip and lock.
Installing the two shelves is equally straightforward. There are notches on the back panel to which the shelves can be inserted. There are actually several pairs allowing you to choose your desired shelf level thus providing you with flexible storage options. In addition to the two shelves there are also two strips of pegboards mounted on each door where you can attach hooks for the hanging and storage of small items. Mounting brackets for concrete or wood come with the unit.
Constructed in all steel, the KR Tools Tactix is rather heavy but this is precisely what gives it strength and durability. The doors are also fitted with a locking mechanism that secures your stored items. These are opened with recessed handles, and they pivot on piano hinges running the entire height of the doors.
