Quantum cabinets are heavy-duty storage systems constructed of gauge 14 steel sheets that are full welded to each other. This method of joining prevents twisting and bending of the steel even under heavy loads. The baked-enamel coating of the cabinets keeps rust and corrosion away thus ensuring years of service. This enamel could either be gray or beige.
Security of the cabinet is provided with a three-point locking system, one each at the top, middle, and bottom of the cabinet’s left door. This is opened and locked with a locking handle. Two keys are supplied with the cabinet.
In the interior of the cabinet are two adjustable shelves, while on each door are three smaller shelves which are also adjustable. The shelves in the QSC 4804 model can be set sufficiently close to each other to make room for the 64 bins sized 7.6 cm in height, 10.25 cm in width, and 18.7 cm in depth; and the 20 bins measuring 17.8 cm high, 21 cm wide, and 37 cm deep.
The placement of the shelves and bins is entirely up to you. The bigger shelves and bins are attached to the back wall of the cabinet while the smaller ones are fixed to the back of the doors. You can have the shelves at the upper or lower portion of the cabinet depending only on your need or taste.
The bins are made of polypropylene, a tough thermoplastic polymer that is highly resistant to acids, bases, and chemical solvents. They have a hopper in front for easy access, and a label holder for identification of contents. There are six available bin colors –blue, green, yellow, ivory, red, and black. You cannot, however, order multiple colors with the cabinet.
