Resins, at least the natural kind from trees, have been known since the ancient Greek civilization where they were used in perfumes and incense for religious rites. These were in the forms of frankincense and myrrh. When barks of trees are cut or injured, sticky resin oozes out to protect the cut. Over time, the resin hardens and it becomes impervious to water. This property is what makes it a useful ingredient of varnishes, paints, sealants, adhesives, and other products intended to keep water out.
Resins have since been replicated in the laboratory and these are called synthetic resins. In addition to the characteristics of natural resin, these also have the ability to harden when treated with heat, pressure, or both. They can be molded into any shape and thus they have been used in a variety of applications, including automotive parts, pipes, food containers, and even storage systems. Among the last is the Suncast C1500 Wall Hung Cabinet.
Resin makes the Suncast C1500 durable and strong. It neither corrodes nor rots making it virtually indestructible. It is also impervious to water, like the natural resins from which its components are copied. In addition to water, the wall cabinet also resists chemicals and oils. This results in easy cleaning.
One distinguishing feature of the cabinet is the way its door opens. While most other cabinets’ doors are hinged on their vertical sidings so that the doors extend outwards when opened, the C1500’s door flips up and slides into the cabinet, transforming it into an open shelf. This gives you a clear and unobstructed access to your cabinet’s contents.
The single door’s borders are raised in a paneled design making it look elegant. Another raised panel vertically bisects the door. Right below it is a blue door handle that stands out against the taupe of the cabinet. The sidings have the same paneled design.
The Suncast C1500 Wall Hung Cabinet comes with mounting brackets. It measures 30″ W x 17″ D x 18″ H, with a load capacity of 100 lbs.
