Overhead racks are often very practical storage systems but they need to be sturdy and stable without the risk of having them falling on your car or, worse, your head. With a box frame that is constructed out of gauge 14 steel and an industrial grade galvanized wire deck, the U-Rack Overhead Storage Racks are more than sufficiently strong for you to be able to sleep easy without any fear of discovering your Porsche 911 or Ford Mustang buried under a heap of holiday décor in the morning.
Both the steel frame and the wire deck are powder coated for extra protection against rust and corrosion. There are four available sizes of the racks –4′ x 3′, 4′ x 4′, 8′ x 3′, and 8′ x 4′. All racks, regardless of the size, have a capacity of 500 lbs. This weight is supported by four robust and tough ceiling supports, again regardless of the size of the racks. This means that if you opt for the 4′ x 8′ you have 8 feet of unobstructed access to the stored items. This is ideal for storing large and bulky boxes.
The height of the racks is adjustable with a maximum drop from the ceiling of 45″. At this adjustment you have 112 cubic feet of storage space with the 8′ x 4′ model. This is plenty of room not only for your Christmas decorations but also for the kids’ toys and sports equipment, tool boxes, or anything you do not wish to keep in the main house.
