Constructed with a roll-cage design and a continuous beam, the Waterloo Magnum Tool Cabinet MG4612BU provides a sturdy and durable shell for its 12 drawers of different widths and heights. The cabinet body is powder coated in blue for extra protection against rust and corrosion. In addition to its protective function, the power coating also provides the tool cabinet with an attractive and shiny coat. The “BU” following its model number stands for “blue”, but it is also available in black, in which case “BL” replaces “BU”.
The cabinet has overall dimensions of approximately 46″ width, 24″ depth, and 35″ height, with a load capacity of 2,400 lbs. It stands and rolls on four 6″ x 2″ factory installed casters. Two of these heavy-duty rollers are fixed while the other two are swivel-type for ease of steering.
All drawers have a depth of 21.5″ but width and height vary. The top drawer runs almost the full width of the cabinet at about 42″. With a height of 4″, it can hold your hammers, mallets, socket wrench sets, or pipe wrenches. Below this are two columns of drawers. Those on the cabinet’s right are 23″ wide while on the left are 14″ wide. They are of varying heights, with the two bottom drawers on the right and left columns having a height of 8.4″ and 12.8″ respectively. Your power or air tools can be stowed in these two drawers.
Ball bearing slides for easy pull-out regardless of load are installed in all drawers. They are also fully extendable giving access even to their deepest sections. For the protection of the drawers as well as the tools stored in them, non-slip liners and dividers are furnished.
Keeping the drawers from unintentionally opening is the company-trademarked Posi-Latch securing system. To safeguard your stored items, a pop-up twist turn handle mounted just above the top drawer turns a tubular lock to bolt all drawers.
